April was a very busy month for the Int
ernational Preschool and Kindergarten.
We visited BESA Library. The librarian Ms. Ann Kardas was such a great story teller. All our children listened to her very attentively and excitingly. They all had fun and participated well in answering her questions. Ms. Ann was very impressed about how well-behaved our children were. Many thanks to her hospitality.
We invited Efe’s (YN) mother Mrs. Aysegul Efecınar on Children’s Day. She talked about how Ataturk, the founder of Turkish Republic, dedicated the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day to all the children of the world as they are the successor of the future. She asked our children what it was like to be a child, why they loved to play and what they wanted to be when they grew up. Many thanks to Mrs. Efecınar for her participation.
At the National Costume Day (April 21) our children had a wonderful Children’s Day Party. They got to know each others’ countries, costumes, and flags. They were happy to take Turkish flags and balloons home af
ter the party.
We hosted 13 different countries at our traditional International Day (April 22) which was one of the most enjoyable event of the school year. Our parents got prepared well and introduced their countries to our children and other parents in a very fun way. We all benefited from the richness and cultural diversity of this event. Many thanks to our parents for their valuable participation on this special day.
ANNOUNCEMENTS OF THE MONTH
© Our summer school will start on August 1st and end on August 26th, 2016. Our children will build the Preschool Zoo ‘brick by brick’ during various activities such as arts&crafts, play-dough, ceramics, origami, and outdoors games & plays. The weekly fee for 5 full-day attendance is USD 350; for 5 half-day attendance
is USD 300. Lunch, snack and school bus service will be charged with an extra fee. However, considering the limited quota we have for this program, if you are interested please contact the office asap.
© If you are planning for your child to attend our school in the next school year, please fill-out the registration sheet and return it to the office by May 18. This will reserve a place for your child in the appropriate class for September 2016. After May 18, we will start accepting other registrations. Thank you for your compliance.
© Full-length school pictures and Mother’s Day party DVDs are ready and can be purchased from the office. Pictures are 120 TL and DVDs are 50 TL.
